Trying to find your Walmart receipt? Walmart gives you four official ways to locate a past purchase, plus a fallback option when none of them work. This guide walks through each method in plain English, with screenshots-worth of detail.
The Walmart mobile app automatically saves every receipt scanned through Walmart Pay. Open the app → tap Account → Purchase history → tap any transaction to see the full receipt with all line items. You can email the receipt to yourself, save it as PDF, or screenshot it. This works for both online orders and in-store Walmart Pay transactions.
Sign in to your Walmart account at walmart.com → go to Purchase History. Online orders show up immediately with downloadable invoices. In-store purchases only appear here if you used Walmart Pay or scanned the receipt to your account in the app.
Walmart's walmart.com/receipt tool finds in-store receipts up to 90 days old. You'll need: store location, date, last 4 of the payment card, and (optionally) the total amount. Cash purchases cannot be looked up this way — Walmart has no way to tie cash transactions back to an individual.
Visit the Walmart store where you made the purchase, bring your card and approximate date, and ask customer service to print a duplicate. They can usually retrieve transactions from the past 60-90 days. Bring photo ID.
